Voice Ask is an assistant like Siri that is available on all the iDevises. Even though it is not an exact replica of Siri, it is one of the best mimics on the market. “You can ask it questions on any topic, either by talking to it or write, and it will answer you in a clear voice.” You can ask it questions like “What is the adress of the British Museum” or “What’s the flight time from New York to Amsterdam.” Anything you think you can ask, and more than half the time it will tell you an in depth answer. Recently Apple has uncovered a new computer that is added to its elite series. It is the new MacBook Air. It adds many new things, for the same excellent price of $999. These features include (Only Some), the latest Intel Core Duo processor (i5 and i7), high speed Thunderbolt I/O, backlit keypad, long lasting battery (5-7 hours), all flash storage, and comes with iOS Lion preinstalled. And what I found astonishing, is that with the all flash storage, the MacBook Air can last 30 day on standby!

As many people know, there is a new operating system coming out for the iPhone, iTouch, and the iPad. There are so many new things that are included that it is crazy how this could revolutionize how you live you life. Below are the features (Words are from Apple.com)

  • Notification Center: “You get all kinds of notifications on your iOS device: new email, texts, friend requests, and more. With Notification Center, you can keep track of them all in one convenient location. Just swipe down from the top of any screen to enter Notification Center.” apple.com
  • iMessage: Is almost like a text messaging application that allows you to interact with others, not by just talking via video chat. You can send unlimited messages via 3G or WiFi. Here is the problem though, you can only send those messages to people with an iPad, iPhone, or an iPod Touch. Also, if you sync your devises together, you can start off where you left off from your other devise.
  • Newsstand: “Read all about it. All in one place. iOS 5 organizes your magazine and newspaper app subscriptions in Newsstand: a folder that lets you access your favorite publications quickly and easily.” apple.com
  • Reminders: “Next time you think to yourself, “Don’t forget to…,” just pull out your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and jot it down. Reminders lets you organize your life in to-do lists — complete with due dates and locations.” apple.com
  • *Twitter*: Finally, Apple has integrated one of the largest social ideas into there devises. You just do not need an app, it includes all of your notifications from twitter, to your notifications tab. “iOS 5 makes it even easier to tweet from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Sign in once in Settings, and suddenly you can tweet directly from Safari, Photos, Camera, YouTube, or Maps. Want to mention or @reply to a friend?” apple.com
  • Camera: “Since your iPhone is always with you, it’s often the best way to capture those unexpected moments. That’s why you’ll love the new camera features in iOS 5.” apple.com. Now this I think is one of the most logical part of the iOS plot, easy access to your camera? I found myself trying to unlock my phone while trying to take a picture. Half the time, the bird, sunset or what ever passes and I lose the picture, darn.
  • Photos: “Turn your snapshots into frame-worthy photos in just a few taps. Crop, rotate, enhance, and remove red-eye without leaving the Photos app. Even organize your photos in albums — right on your device.” apple.com
  • Safari: “iOS 5 brings even more web-browsing features to iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Safari Reader displays web articles sans ads or clutter so you can read without distractions.” apple.com. They also includes the tabs in the new Safari like they have for the computer version, letting you move through places faster and more efficient.

This new software will be released sometimes in Fall 2011. These are some of the key features for the new iOS 5, if you would like more information on a topic, go to the links below:

The Blackberry Playbook is definitely a large competition to the Apple’s revolutionary iPad. This has most of the features the iPad does, but as their website says,” The worlds first professional-grade tablet.” That mixes things up, and starts to say, which is better? That is your decision, but maybe I can help? The Playbook’s features include:

  • High resolution, WSVGA, capacitive screen with 4-finger multi-touch and gesture support
  • 1 GHz dual-core processor and a 1 GB RAM
  • Games, media, apps and all the rich content the real Internet has to offer
  • Full Adobe® Flash® 10.1 enabled
  • Built-in support for HTML 5
  • Has 4G Capabilities

The Thing that caught my mind was the full Adobe Flash. Hmm. Something the iPad does not have. For rookies, Adobe Flash is a application that runs most media files on the internet. This helps Blackberry’s competition, and I believe they were smart in the sense of that they did their research and found the flaws of the iPad, and fixed them for the new Blackberry Playbook!

Recently Apple has announced that they will release white iPhone 4s tomorrow, Thursday the 28th. This new white color really brings out the iPhone’s features, and for my opinion, it makes it look more professional and slick.

Over the past four months, from December to April, Apple has made over 25+ billion. Which then comes to show, how much of that comes from the iPhone only? This has completely blown my mind completely thinking that about 12.5 billion dollars was made in the past FOUR months just from Apple. You have to think, the iPad was released about a month ago, the iPhone was released about a year ago, and there is still more demand for the iPhone. That tells you something…
